The City is a division of Zondervan and is located in Seattle. We build web based software that helps churches lead people into deeper local community using online tools that help them build connections and encourage growth.

Here are just a few team profiles ...

Zack Hubert is The City's Lead Architect, overseeing software engineering, development, and management. Zack's experience includes key roles at Amazon.com where he made significant contributions to Amazon's success through numerous development initiatives. This included creation of patent-pending technologies for their reactive sales analytics engine and predictive pricing engine used to implement strategies for over 50 million products sold on the platform. Zack was also responsible for critical platform infrastructure that included over 1500 systems.  Formerly, Zack was the Pastor of Technology and Mars Hill Church in Seattle, WA.  Zack holds a Masters degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Joe Sherman currently serves as the Senior Vice President for The City by Zondervan. In his 30-year career, Joe has developed strategies that provide pastors and church leaders with industry-leading resources to strengthen and grow their ministries. Specifically, at Zondervan, he has been responsible for curriculum and Bible engagement publishing and marketing, resourcing not-for-profit ministries, executing Zondervan’s direct-to-church business, developing and enhancing publishing partnerships with church-based ministry organizations, and overall execution and business development for Zondervan events.

Along with his years of service to Zondervan, Joe has provided organizational, publishing, and marketing leadership for Family Christian Stores, Foster and Gallagher, the Willow Creek Association, and Minnesota Public Radio. Additionally, Joe has served as an ordained pastor and co-founder of a not-for-profit ministry dedicated to providing spiritual guidance to pastors and the congregations they serve.

Mike Andrews is a senior sales and marketing executive with over 22 years of experience in high technology, primarily with web software organizations.  Mike began his career at IBM where he spent nine years in various sales roles.  He was then recruited to WRQ, an infrastructure software provider, as a Regional Sales Manager, leading a sales team to consistently exceed its revenue objectives.  Over the following ten years Mike served as a Vice President of Sales for three venture capital-backed software companies, including House Values, Inc., GiftCertificates.com and Verdiem Corp.  Mike has a demonstrated track record of building teams, exceeding objectives and leading high growth, early stage companies. Mike is currently an elder at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle and also serves on the board of directors of Teleios Ministries.
