Check out the map, find a group

On Friday, we gave you a snapshot of all the great new additions to the Events tool, but that wasn’t everything we did last week. Today, let’s take a look at the improvements we’ve made to Group Search!
Now, when you choose Group Search from your Groups menu, you’ll land on the Group Map page that will show you all the groups in your neighborhood. You’ll see a few new things here:
- If you’d like to search for groups near a location other than your primary address, just type an address in the search field to see all the publicly viewable groups in that area.
- When you expand the More Filter Options toggle and select additional attributes to filter by, the map will update automatically.
- Click on a group marker to see the group’s name and profile picture, and click the Profile>> link to view the group’s profile page and send a message to the group’s leader. (Administrators can move to the group’s administrative dashboard by clicking the Admin>> link).
So much of church life happens in the context of small communities, and we want to do all we can to make it easy for people to discover what’s already happening around them and get involved.
