Thanks for helping us make events better!

A few weeks back we asked for your help and got a ton of great feedback for improving events in The City. It was really awesome to see how much of what we were thinking was exactly what you were wanting!
Here's a quick look at some of the event improvements we've made:
Simpler event-creation process.
Depending on the kind of event you're planning, the details can get pretty complex, but we want it to feel effortless when you create any kind of event. Now, the process is separated into major steps, giving you quick access to any of the tools you need to get your event created.
Start now, save a draft for later.
Many of you said, “Gee, it would be really cool if I could start creating something, save it as a draft, and then come back to it later.” We totally agree, and we’re stoked to help you out. Just start creating your event (or topic, prayer, or need), and click Save Draft. When you’re ready to come back and finish it, you’ll find it in the Drafts folder of your Reminders panel.
More recurrence options.
You asked for more flexibility in selecting event recurrence options, and we're right there with you. 3rd Tuesday of every month? Every day for a week? Go for it!
RSVP from email.
Got an email invite to an event, but don't have time to login? That's fine, just reply to the email and type Yes, No, or Maybe as the first word in your response and The City will register your RSVP. Quick. Easy. And pretty dang cool.
More event discussion.
Some upcoming events get people really excited, and you want to talk about it even after you’ve sent your RSVP. Now you can. We’ve created a separate discussion thread for events that you can use to discuss, plan, and promote your event. The event details will stay in the Calendar, but the event discussion will surface in everyone’s News Feed.
Custom address list.
When you create an event, the event location defaults to your group's primary address. Now when you create a custom address for an event, that address will be added to your group's address list, so you can select it quickly in the future.
Non-RSVP events.
Sometimes you want to put an event on the calendar, but you don't really need or want people to RSVP. So, now you can select the No Responses option for those events.
Oh, and, quite a few more things…
We also deployed a ton of other improvements that we’ll tell you more about next week, including improvements to Group Search, News Feed, and Suggested Groups. In addition we launched some new features, like the ability to invite people to your City en masse with a simple data import, and Check Look-up integration to help speed up the process of donation entry.
Stay tuned and we’ll take a closer look at all of these real soon.
